42069

Produced by Rare Scrilla

42069 is a cutting-edge music and art project that pushes the boundaries of collaboration between human creativity and AI technology. Each track is a sonic experiment, blending AI-generated compositions, sometimes with human loops, post-production, and a few contributions from select emcees. Through this fusion, 42069 dives deep into the intersection of memetics, cryptoart, and cultural revolutions, exploring themes that range from Rare Pepes and meme culture to Bitcoin, the Fourth Turning, and the rising influence of AI.

Each track within 42069 is paired with a unique piece of artwork. Spearheaded by Rare Scrilla, 25 artists were brought together to interpret the themes and energy of the music visually. These visual contributions provide a powerful accompaniment to the auditory experience, with each track released as a 1/1 cryptoart piece, merging the worlds of digital art and music.

Artist Statement

42069 is a meta-commentary on the evolution of memetics and digital culture, from the birth of cryptoart to the meme economy that now fuels creativity across platforms. By collaborating with AI and various artists, 42069 reflects on the process of creation in the age of machines—where the line between human and algorithmic creativity blurs. The album captures this transformative period in both art and music, symbolizing how the digital revolution reshapes the cultural landscape.

The title 42069 is more than just a meme number; it’s a symbol of the shared language and humor that permeates cryptoart culture. It embodies the sense of community, rebellion, and innovation within the crypto space. Each release from the project will drip-feed new insights into the world of AI-generated art and music, with both exclusive 1/1 NFT versions and a more traditional streaming rollout.

BOOK OF KEK

The second video off of 42069. This is an homage to and a story about Rare Pepe. The song references wiki.pepe.wtf as the source of truth. The song was written in collaboration with chatGPT. A series of AI prompts created the music and the initial prompt was started using a sample from another AI clip I made.

The cover art is by Lors.

The video is by Mr Beef.
