AOTM Artists in Residence Program: AiR VI

AOTM Artists in Residence (AiR) invites a select group of non-roster artists to join the AOTM ecosystem for 3-month terms. This is the second year of the initiative.

The resident artists of AiR VI – the third cohort of 2025 – are: DeltaSauce, perfectl00p, and RJ.

Structured in regular career and curatorial development sessions with the AOTM community, each term culminates in a digital exhibition sale via AOTM featuring new artworks created by the residents. Artworks created by the residents will also be entered into the AOTM Collection in exchange.

AiR allows AOTM to continue on its mission to push digital art forward by taking on a more active role in the cultivation and development of different creative voices, building community, expanding the definition of a gallery in the digital art sphere, and beyond.

The concept behind AiR relates back to AOTM’s namesake, Peggy Guggenheim’s groundbreaking Art of This Century, a hybrid art gallery, art collection, museum, and meeting place for New York’s avant-garde during the 1940s.

The artists, artworks, and ideas gathered at Art of This Century would have an indelible impact on the modern and contemporary art world and culture at large.

Through its AiR initiative, AOTM honors this legacy of impactful community building, patronage, and creative exchange.

DeltaSauce

DeltaSauce is a Dallas-based digital artist whose work explores memory, nostalgia, and the emotional terrain of liminal spaces through the lens of AI. Rooted in early experiences spent in his father’s woodworking shop, his creative journey began with a fascination for the act of creating and a reverence for process that continues to shape his approach to art today.

Blending the aesthetics of traditional illustration with generative technologies, DeltaSauce constructs digital artworks that feel like collages of time, dreamlike tableaus where the past lingers in modern form. Describing himself as a “curator of nostalgia,” his practice investigates the hazy boundary between personal memory and collective experience. These works often evoke a calming familiarity: suburban streets at dusk, retro technology glowing in the dark, or imagined corners of a world that’s half-remembered, half-invented.

PERFECTL00P

Based in the mountains of Colorado, Perfect Loop is a multidisciplinary artist whose work fuses retro computing culture with layered, time-based digital media. Originally a sound designer and composer for interactive media, he now blends multiple software tools to create endlessly looping visuals dense with glitches, artifacts, and nostalgic iconography.

RJ

RJ is a UK-based digital artist, working in pixel-painting, GIFs, and animation. After reading Classics at Cambridge University, he went on to study an MA in Modern Literature and a PhD in contemporary American fiction, with a focus on modernism, meta-modernism, and theories of intertextuality. Following the completion of his PhD in 2021, RJ began to explore and practise digital art. Having since taught himself painting and animation, his art seeks to explore how we experience the digital age in which we live; how the internet affects our sense of self, our bodies, and the spaces we inhabit.
