Wasteland

Over the past 500 years, almost everyone in the city has benefited from technological advancement, for various reasons. However, the gap between rich and poor has widened even further, making the rich even richer and the poor even poorer. What we used to call "suburbs" are now wastelands. Crime rate is increasing, unemployment rate is skyrocketing due to AI and robots, making families raise their children with what they have, struggling and facing life with makeshift means. Government aid is there, but the chances of change are very few. Dreaming of a better life.
