Perennial Processing

Perennial Processing is a meditation on alchemical transmutation through “Digital Decay.”

A relic of 90s CGI—a chrome processing chip, symbol of rational order and technological ambition—falls, liquefies, and gives way to the organic emergence of a hibiscus flower.

With Its fleeting bloom, hibiscus symbolizes immortality and the cycle of life, death, transmutation & rebirth.

This seamless loop, created using obsolete datamoshing techniques through manual I-frame deletion, while invoking the ancient idea of turning metal into life, machine into spirit.

The cycle becomes hypnotic—glitch not as error, but as a passage to something new, which Digital Decay reveals beauty naturally unseen whilst also critiquing the hyper speed of society and the ever growing lack of attention.

In this meditative space, technology surrenders to nature, and impermanence becomes a source of renewal.
