Noper
ai as the medium
About

Noper (b. 1997) is a Florida-based artist whose practice moves between digital media, video, and AI-driven processes to explore memory, technology, and the fragility of human perception. His works often blur the line between the natural and the artificial, creating dreamlike worlds where organic textures collide with machine-generated aesthetics.
With a background spanning traditional drawing, music, and set work in film and television, Noper developed a distinct visual language rooted in glitch, VHS-inspired distortion, and surreal re-imaginings of elemental forces. Since beginning to work with AI in 2022, his practice has expanded into a rhythmically distinct body of work, often described as “Florida-core” and “sun-bleached,” that carries both the weight of memory and the lightness of dissolution. Each piece unfolds with its own cadence, giving his visuals a musicality that echoes his early connection to sound and performance.
Noper has exhibited internationally at institutions and fairs including Christie’s (Next Wave), House of Fine Art (New Beginnings), Unit London (E-motions), W1 Curates (Art of the Machine), NFC Lisbon, SilkRoad Istanbul, and Fellowship Daily. He has received commissions from major musicians, including AI visuals for Raye’s Genesis (nominated for MTV VMA, UKMVA, and MOBO Awards), visuals for No Doubt’s Coachella performance in collaboration with Olivia Rodrigo, and AI-generated visuals for Future, Metro Boomin, and others.
Through his practice, Noper continues to examine the spaces between destruction and renewal, presence and absence, grounding his work in both technological experimentation and deeply human questions.
